Bring the whole
ceiling together.
Create a smooth ceiling finish with 9mm RhinoBoard. This genuine Gyproc plasterboard is available here in a 3000 × 1200mm sheet for ceiling and bulkhead projects, with the board quantities and delivery details made easier to plan.
9mm RhinoBoard for ceilings and bulkheads
A ceiling can be much more than a flat surface. Changes in level, perimeter details and carefully planned bulkheads help define a room. Start with a clear drawing of the finished result, then bring the board order, framework and finishing materials together.
Use this listing when the project calls for genuine Gyproc 9mm plasterboard in a 3m length. Share the ceiling area and bulkhead measurements separately so that horizontal surfaces and vertical faces are both included in the quotation. If your material schedule is ready, send it through with the delivery location.
Plan the space. Choose the specification.
Continuous ceilings
A jointed ceiling gives the project a coordinated finished surface when the boards, joint treatment and decoration follow the selected Gyproc system.
Skimmed finishes
Plan the skim finish with the installer before buying. Include the specified plaster, preparation and final decoration when comparing complete ceiling quotations.
Bulkhead details
Measure the underside and each boarded face of a bulkhead. A room’s floor area alone will leave some of these surfaces out of the material estimate.
Plan the finish and the board layout together
Gyproc specifies 9mm RhinoBoard for jointed or skimmed ceilings and bulkheads in residential and commercial interiors. The supporting framework and finishing products form part of the system, so keep the installer’s material schedule alongside your board order.
Think about lighting, curtain recesses, ceiling access and adjoining cornices while the layout is still being planned. Sending a sketch with your enquiry can make the quotation more useful and helps avoid adding unmeasured details after the boards have been ordered.
Estimate your ceiling board quantity
Add the ceiling area and any specified bulkhead surfaces, then choose a cutting allowance. This estimate assumes one board layer.
Area-based estimate only. The 10% default is a planning allowance, not a fixed requirement. Sheet orientation, framing, joint positions and reusable offcuts can change the final order. Quantities are not added to your basket automatically.
9mm RhinoBoard prices
Compare the same board size and specification, then check the delivered total. For a board-only cost per square metre, divide the price of this sheet by 3.6. Use the same VAT basis when comparing suppliers.
A complete project budget may also include framing, fixings, jointing products, insulation, labour and painting. Ask for these items to be listed separately so you know what your quotation covers.

Make room for 3m sheets
Check the unloading route, doorway access and a suitable storage area before delivery. Keep boards flat, evenly supported and protected from moisture. Tell us about stairs, narrow access or other handling restrictions when requesting a quotation.
