The right board works as part of a complete system: framing, fixings, joints and finish all matter.
A smooth finish overhead.
Start with your ceiling system and finish. Confirm the specified board thickness, support spacing and fixing method with your installer before ordering.
Bring the detail together.
Recesses, changes in level and lighting details need a planned framework. Match the board and joint treatment to the design, including any curves or cut-outs.
Plan the whole wall.
For partitions, check the required board layers, stud system and internal insulation. Choose the complete wall specification for your space and performance needs.
Moisture, fire or sound requirements?
Regular gypsum board is intended for suitable dry interiors. Projects with moisture, fire-resistance or acoustic requirements need the correct specialist boards and a specified system. Ask before substituting one board for another.

Gypsum board describes the product type. RhinoBoard is a gypsum plasterboard range from Gyproc. BEAM is another brand in our current range. Always compare the exact product and system specification, rather than choosing on brand name alone.
Can I order Gyproc RhinoBoard yet?
Our Gyproc RhinoBoard range is coming soon. The sizes we will carry, prices and arrival dates are still to be confirmed. Ask us about the planned range before scheduling an order.
Are 7mm BEAM and 6.4mm RhinoBoard interchangeable?
Do not assume that similar thicknesses are interchangeable. They are different product specifications from different brands. Your installer should confirm the board, supports, fixings and finish required for the chosen system.
Can regular gypsum board be used in a bathroom?
Moisture exposure and the location of the board matter. Do not assume a regular board is suitable for a wet or persistently humid area. Confirm the appropriate moisture-resistant product, lining system and finish with your installer or the board manufacturer.
Does gypsum board replace ceiling insulation?
Gypsum board forms the ceiling lining. It does not replace a properly specified insulation layer. If thermal performance is part of your project, explore our ceiling insulation range alongside the boards.
