Gyproc identifies 6.4mm RhinoBoard for residential ceilings using an M-strip system with suitable timber or steel brandering. Agree the joint detail and support arrangement with your installer before you finalise the material order.
If you want a continuous jointed or skimmed ceiling, ask about the 9mm ceiling option and the complete Gyproc system. Choosing the finish at the start helps align the boards, framing, jointing products and labour quotation.
How many ceiling boards do you need?
Enter the total ceiling area and choose a cutting allowance. For several rooms, add their areas together. The estimate uses one board layer.
Area-based estimate only. The 10% default is a planning allowance, not a fixed requirement. Sheet orientation, framing, joint positions and reusable offcuts can change the final order. Quantities are not added to your basket automatically.

Compare the same board size and specification, then check the delivered total. For a board-only cost per square metre, divide the price of this sheet by 3.6. Use the same VAT basis when comparing suppliers.
