02 / Factorylite roof insulation
Large roof areas can be a major path for heat gain and loss. Factorylite adds a bulk insulation layer beneath the roof sheeting, helping moderate heat transfer in factories, warehouses and workshops.
Plan the blanket, facing, supports and roof details together. The thickness you specify needs room to perform once installed.

Address insulation compression, laps, supports and moisture conditions in the roof design. Factorylite’s facing must be protected from direct and indirect UV exposure, including around rooflights and open sides. For an existing roof, have the proposed retrofit arrangement assessed before ordering.

Energylite is a glasswool range for commercial and industrial thermal and acoustic applications. Choose the format around the layout, then confirm the required density, thickness and facing.
For plant rooms or machinery enclosures, the noise source and complete construction matter. For heated equipment, the operating conditions come first.

Energylite is a technical glasswool range supplied as rolls and batts for specified thermal and acoustic applications. Choose around the use, facing and installation detail rather than treating the names as interchangeable.
Use the thickness and roof-system performance required by the project specification. The material R-values above help compare the four options, but roof construction and compression affect the installed result. Share the roof section if you need help confirming the product to quote.
It depends on the exact format. Factorylite is normally 1.2m wide with different roll lengths; Energylite roll length changes with thickness. Standard unfaced Energylite batts measure 1.2 × 0.6m, or 0.72m² each, while the number per pack varies. Confirm the quoted dimensions and pack quantity before calculating an order.
It can be specified for suitable industrial thermal applications. Isover’s technical sheet lists a maximum service temperature of 350°C for Energylite 47.5 under a 250Pa test load to EN 14706. Confirm the exact grade, facing, operating conditions and installation with the technical specification; that figure is not a blanket rating for every product or a recommendation for direct-flame or refractory furnace lining.
No. The required result depends on the sound frequencies, thickness, facing, enclosure and sound paths. Machinery vibration may also need separate isolation. Use the project’s acoustic design to select the insulation, particularly for persistent low-frequency noise.
A material’s reaction-to-fire result describes a different property from the fire resistance of an assembled construction. Check the current documentation for the exact insulation and facing, and use the complete assembly required by the project’s fire design.
It can form part of a roof design that manages condensation. The outcome depends on the insulation, facing continuity, joints, ventilation and indoor moisture conditions. Assess the full roof detail, especially where there is high humidity or an existing condensation problem.
